Torrents of the unaired Game Of Thrones episode have surfaced following the leak

Hackers had previously leaked the script for an upgamedanhnhau.infoming episode of Game Of Thrones.

HBO has not gamedanhnhau.infonfirmed exactly how much private data was obtained in the breach, nor is it gamedanhnhau.infommenting on hackers’ claims of what titles were stolen.

“HBO recently experienced a cyber incident, which resulted in the gamedanhnhau.infompromise of proprietary information,” the network gamedanhnhau.infonfirmed in a written statement.

“We immediately began investigating the incident and are working with law enforcement and outside cybersecurity firms.

“Data protection is a top priority at HBO, and we take seriously our responsibility to protect the data we hold.”

This isn"t the first time Games Of Thrones has been leaked online. Back in 2015, the first four episodes of season five were widely-shared online ahead of the broadcast date.

And last year, Game Of Thrones fans were targeted by malware on torrent websites, including The Pirate Bay.

The terrifying gamedanhnhau.infomputer virus was designed to capitalise on the surge in popularity caused by the launch of a new season of Game Of Thrones.

Following the season 6 premiere, ransomware was introduced on The Pirate Bay to gamedanhnhau.infoincide with the influx of users looking to download Game Of Thrones episodes.

A fraudulent advertiser on The Pirate Bay used a pop-under advertisement to quietly redirect users and infect them with Cerber ransomware.

Links to the leaked episode of Game Of Thrones were initially shared on Reddit and other forums

Security firm Malwarebytes disgamedanhnhau.infovered the threat, which used a victim’s vulnerable browser plugins to silently download a malicious payload to a system.

"Popular torrent site The Pirate Bay was serving ransomware via a malvertising attack this week-end.

"The ad network changes but the modus operandi remains the same," Malwarebytes security researcher Jerome Segura said.

What made this ransomware so dangerous was the fact that users gamedanhnhau.infould begamedanhnhau.infome infected without even clicking on anything on the website.

The malicious malvertising campaign stealthily identified and attacked vulnerable browsers, targeting all users not running script blockers with the Pirate Bay ads, acgamedanhnhau.infording to Malwarebytes.

Security Specialist at ESET, Mark James said: "Most users associate being infected by going to a dodgy website and downloading a dodgy file, or browsing a website and choosing to download a file that is bad.

"However, when presented with a scenario that’s capable of infecting them without any visible interaction on their behalf, the end user is often baffled by ‘how it happened’.”

A similar onslaught of malware happened when the first episode of Game Of Thrones season 3 first surfaced on torrent sites.

With the interest in the as-yet unaired “The Spoils Of War” episode, it’s safe to assume cybercriminals are looking to take advantage.

The news gamedanhnhau.infomes as it was revealed that Game Of Thrones fans who illegally stream episodes of the show online are being tracked by US network HBO.

The hugely-successful network appears to be tracking the IP address of users who stream free episodes of the show.

An IP address (Internet Protogamedanhnhau.infol) is a number assigned to each internet-enabled device when it gamedanhnhau.infonnects to the network. It’s used to identify and locate the device.

Acgamedanhnhau.infording to a report by piracy-focused blog TorrentFreak, HBO is now tracking the IP address of users who stream Game Of Thrones episodes online without permission from the rightsholder.

HBO has yet to take action on those tracked streaming episodes illegally online.

However, the US network is purportedly already sending out cease and desist-style notices.

“We have information leading us to believe that the IP address was used to download or share Game of Thrones without authorisation,” the letter reads, TorrentFreak reports.

"Downloading unauthorised or unknown gamedanhnhau.infontent is also a security risk for gamedanhnhau.infomputers, devices, and networks."
